Phlebotomist II Float – Frisco, TX Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with rotational weekends. Job Summary The Phlebotomy Floater performs a variety of responsibilities across multiple patient centers, ensuring quality blood collection and specimen handling. The role includes coaching and mentoring new staff, managing billing, and traveling to additional sites as needed. Pay Range $21.03+ per hour, based on skills, training, experience, education, and applicable certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Cover assigned territory within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or other sites as directed. Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing. Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Enter billing information and collect payment when required. Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource for new employees; act as point of contact for staff on site and provide regular input to the group lead or supervisor. Travel to additional doctor’s office or Patient Service Center sites when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. English language communication skills.
