Senior Financial Analyst – ThoughtSpot Location: Phoenix, AZ or Mountain View, CA The Role As a Strategic Finance and AI Analyst on our Strategic Finance team, you’ll drive financial performance and shape key business decisions, collaborating with cross‑functional leaders to develop high‑impact financial models, provide insights, and influence strategic initiatives that directly impact the company’s success. What You'll Do Develop and maintain advanced 3‑statement financial models to support multi‑year planning, scenario analysis, and decision‑making. Build and refine integrated financial models for ARR, ACV, Renewals, and other SaaS metrics to project performance and optimize growth. Lead continuous refinement of cash flow forecasts, providing actionable insights for short‑term and long‑term cash management. Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for leadership, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities; support board‑level materials and investor updates. Track SaaS KPIs (ARR, churn, pipeline health, CAC, payback, margin trends) and deliver insights. Identify high‑friction manual tasks and configure AI Agents to automate workflows. Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Product, Revenue Operations, and other teams to align budgets, forecasts, and initiatives. Participate in annual planning cycles, quarterly re‑forecasts, business reviews; evaluate initiatives such as new product launches, pricing, market expansion, vendor negotiations; improve processes, automate reporting, streamline data flows. What You Bring 3‑5 years experience in Corporate Development, Equity Research, FP&A, Strategy, Consulting, Investment Banking, or related analytical field (SaaS experience a strong plus). Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or quantitative discipline. Proactive curiosity about LLMs and Agentic workflows (“AI Mindset”). Expertise in advanced financial modeling and forecasting; building integrated 3‑statement models from scratch in Excel, Google Sheets, or planning applications. Experience with BI tools (ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Looker) and financial planning systems (Anaplan, Adaptive, Workday Planning) a plus. Excellent analytical skills, turning complex data into actionable insights. Outstanding communication and presentation skills with ability to distill data for senior leadership. Collaborative mindset and experience partnering with cross‑functional teams.
