Summer Paraprofessional

Location: San Francisco
Position Type: Seasonal / Summer Employment
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Daytime Hours
Compensation: $22–$26/hour, depending on experience

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Summer Paraprofessionals to support students during our summer education and enrichment programs in San Francisco. This role is ideal for individuals interested in education, child development, behavioral support, or special education.

Responsibilities

• Support students in classroom, recreational, and community-based activities
• Assist teachers and program staff with instructional and behavioral support
• Help students build social, communication, and academic skills
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance as needed
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and program activities
• Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 48 college credits OR completion of paraprofessional exam
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and student populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, reliability, and a positive attitude
• Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus

Preferred Skills

• Classroom support experience
• Behavioral intervention or ABA experience
• Bilingual abilities are a plus
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
