Anesthesiology Physician

Overview The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Anesthesiologist for a full-time clinical position at a university-affiliated teaching facility in metropolitan Phoenix. This state-designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center and ABA-verified Burn Center offers a dynamic environment for clinical practice and teaching, with opportunities for academic appointment. Clinical Practice Overview Manage anesthesia for a wide range of surgeries: Labor & Delivery, Neonatal and general pediatric surgery, general surgery, robotic surgery, neurosurgery, ENT, plastic surgery, burn treatment, level 1 trauma, orthopedics, podiatric surgery, special procedures outside the OR, utilize TEE equipment for perioperative and critical care patients. Approximately 11,000 anesthesia encounters per year. Call Schedule In-house call 4-5 times per month. Benefits Opportunity to apply for academic appointments through university affiliations. Supervise and teach residents in emergency medicine and surgery, CRNAs, student nurse anesthetists, and medical students. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a high-volume, high-complexity setting. Requirements Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology. Strong interpersonal skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Interest in academic medicine and teaching.
