Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit Job Summary Provides nursing care to patients requiring a level of monitoring and intervention between general medical-surgical care and intensive care. Manages patients with cardiac, respiratory, or other conditions requiring close observation, telemetry monitoring, and timely intervention. Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required) Minimum 1 year of med-surg or telemetry nursing experience (Preferred) Licenses & Certifications Current RN license in state of practice (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Required) Key Responsibilities Monitors telemetry and vital signs to identify early signs of patient deterioration. Administers medications and treatments per physician orders and unit protocols. Performs ongoing patient assessments and communicates changes in condition to the care team. Provides patient and family education on disease process, medications, and discharge planning. Assists with patient mobility, activities of daily living, and safety precautions.
