RN - PCU Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Cardiac telemetry experience PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience Telemetry interpretation and management skills Ability to care for ventilated patients Experience with blood product administration Description:This position is for a Registered Nurse in a monitored bed unit.The schedule will include three 12-hour night shifts weekly.Target patient ratios are 1:4.The role requires flexibility to float to other units as necessary.Every other weekend is required for shifts.The patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.Common patient diagnoses involve A-Fib RVR, hyperglycemia, and hypertension requiring drips.The unit has a dedicated RN and CNA/Monitor Tech for every four beds.The nurse will work with various interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services.Essential skills include accessing and managing ports, arterial lines, and central lines.Experience with IV insulin protocols, titration of drips, and non-invasive airway management is required.Isolation precautions and wound care management are also necessary components of this role.Candidates must be able to complete pre-start modules conducted online.A COVID-19 vaccination is not required, but a flu vaccine is mandatory unless exempt.Travel experience is preferred, but first-time travelers are also considered. #J-18808-Ljbffr
