X-Ray Technician

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician to perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality radiographs, and maintaining a safe and clean workspace. The ideal candidate will have strong patient communication skills to reduce anxiety and provide explanations during exams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform satisfactory radiographic procedures as requested by physicians.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and produce quality radiographs.
• Lift and transport patients via wheelchair and stretcher.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
• Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of exams, and answering questions.
• Prepare patients for radiographic procedures with proper dressing/undressing and positioning.
• Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
• Willingness to float to other locations when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Certificate or Associate/Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology required.
• State of Tennessee Medical Board X-ray Operators License required (application by start date is acceptable).

Experience

• ARRT certification required.
• Prior orthopedic x-ray experience preferred.

Skills

• Comfortable working alongside a manager who also runs active scans.
• C-Arm experience is a major plus.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to float between locations when necessary.
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm.
