Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Level II Trauma facility, requiring 1+ years vascular IR experience, ARRT and BLS certification.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit with 4 procedure rooms, 3 with biplane imaging (3 Siemens, 1 GE)
• Treats a wide variety of cases including stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, and oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
• Daily caseload of 20-30 procedures per tech
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekend work required
• On-call required, 8-10 call days per month depending on staffing, including one Saturday per month, with 30-minute response time and on-call sleep rooms available
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs, but not to sister facilities
• Cerner EMR preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of vascular IR experience required
• BLS and ARRT certifications required (ARRT Advanced Cert preferred)
• Active FL license required if applicable
• Community Hospital experience required; Teaching Hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Skills required include PACS, contrast administration, biopsies, stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrostomy, kyphoplasty, peripheral and upper/lower extremity studies, abdominal/pelvic studies, vascular studies, neurological studies, and stroke thrombectomy
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Prior travel healthcare experience required

Additional Information

• Level II Trauma and Level I Pediatric Trauma facility with 615 staffed beds
• Perform a broad range of IR procedures including venous access, vascular closure, genitourinary studies, abdominal/pelvic procedures, vascular interventions, and neurological procedures
• Responsibilities include equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, EKG lead placement, accurate monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Scrub color required: black or navy
• COVID-19 vaccination required, medical or religious exemptions accepted
• No RTO permitted during contract
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• Former employees must wait at least 12 months before returning to any facility within this health system as a traveler
