Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, self-scheduled with 3 weekend shifts per schedule period (Friday/Saturday for nights)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to a diverse medical-surgical and telemetry patient population
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret EKGs, detecting changes and responding quickly
• Administer medications and manage drips including Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
• Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to deliver optimal outcomes
• Document accurately in Cerner and maintain the highest standards of care
• Support patients and families through education and emotional encouragement

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona (or compact license) - though license to submit is not required at application
• Minimum 2 years of experience in med-surg or telemetry nursing
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• EKG competency and ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
• Willingness to complete a pass/fail Sim Lab on day 1 of orientation
• Must live 50+ miles from the facility and provide a driver's license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Proficiency with EKG and GE cardiac monitors
• Experience managing IV drips (Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, Cardizem)
• Familiarity with Cerner charting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment
