Overview The Logistics Senior Analyst - Inter-Plant Trailer and Material Transfer directs the strategic coordination and optimization of material movement between Hillphoenix facilities. Location Richmond, VA What you will be responsible for Strategic Planning & Coordination: Design and authorize daily inter-plant shipment schedules to meet fluctuating production requirements. Independently evaluate distribution center movements to mitigate potential delivery risks. Operational Oversight: Determine the necessity and priority of trailer movement requests; authorize and validate documentation to ensure regulatory and operational compliance. Inventory Governance: Manage and reconcile complex inventory discrepancies. Conduct independent investigations into variances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary decision-maker and liaison between Materials, Production, and Quality teams to resolve critical material handoff issues. Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of accountability and escalation for contracted trailer dispatch teams. Evaluate carrier performance and negotiate service alignments to maintain operational continuity. Analytics & Reporting: Analyze key operational metrics to formulate daily and weekly performance reports. Provide expert recommendations to management for process improvements and waste reduction.
