Program Manager Date: Jul 13, 2026 Location: Los Angeles, CA, US Company: Black & Veatch Family of Companies & Black & Veatch Corporation Responsibilities Manage all aspects of large Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality. Become conversant with engineering capabilities, strengths, weaknesses, and gaps. Provide domain experience in utility and energy systems, with 10+ years of utility operations, program management, risk management, and financial understanding. Oversee day‑to‑day execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope, covering performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction. Act as advisor for owners and regional leadership on program controls and project execution strategies. Ensure successful staffing of the project. Understand program resources and mobility requirements. Lead and mentor large multidisciplinary teams. Coordinate integration across engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activities, including third‑party contributors. Represent Black & Veatch in client‑facing roles, managing stakeholder communication. Coordinate subcontractors and integrate non‑Black & Veatch contractors into successful workflows. Apply continuous improvement methodologies to enhance program scale and efficiencies. Key Responsibilities Manage large end‑to‑end projects across multiple clients or partners, including medium EPC projects. Manage projects with complex client structure, location, or market challenges. Identify and secure new or repeat business on large projects; support contract negotiations. Manage multiple risks across fixed‑price, new technology, non‑domestic markets, or new clients. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Ability to complete required pre‑employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records). Preferred Qualifications Approximately 12 years of experience. Certifications None specified. Work Environment / Physical Demands Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office, 2 days remote. Travel up to 60% of schedule. Typical office and construction environments; exposure to extreme weather, high noise, electrical hazards, scaffolding, chemicals, fumes, dust, and potential lifting up to 40 lbs.
