Micro/Molecular Medical Technologist

Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a skilled and motivated Micro/Molecular Medical Technologist to support daily operations within a fast-growing, high-complexity laboratory. This role will provide testing support including molecular, microbiology, and some chemistry ensuring quality, efficiency, and full compliance with CLIA regulations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on, strong technical expertise, a passion for process improvement, and experience working in high-throughput laboratory environments. Key Responsibilities Technical Performance & Result Integrity Perform high-complexity testing across multiple departments in accordance with CLIA standards and internal SOPs Review, verify, and release patient results with accuracy; serve as the escalation point for complex testing questions and troubleshooting Maintain instrumentation through QC, calibration, and routine maintenance, flag issues early and follow through on resolution Quality & Compliance Maintain accurate documentation, SOP compliance, and data integrity, support inspection readiness and internal audit preparation Skills & Competencies Technical depth across multiple lab disciplines especially related to Microbiology and Molecular Testing Strong troubleshooting instincts; comfortable working through ambiguous problems without waiting for someone to hand you the answer Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to colleagues and clinicians alike Process-minded Calm under pressure and effective when the workload spikes Qualifications Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, or related field ASCP or equivalent certification preferred 1-3+ years of hands on clinical laboratory experience, including high-complexity testing preferably in a microbiology and molecular setting with UTI/STI panels as well as bacterial or fungal culture work Solid understanding of CLIA regulations and quality systems Experience with automated and semi-automated instrumentation in a high-throughput setting Experience using QuantStudio, KingFisher Flex, Gene Expert, and BD Phoenix/AP instruments a plus Salary, Benefits, and Shift Salary: $25-$35/hour Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm Full Comprehensive Benefits Why Join Us?
