As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic educational location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security‑related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with students, staff, and visitors, and respond to security‑related concerns. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established campus protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of academic buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, outdoor walkways, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Monitor for unusual activity, access concerns, hazards, and policy violations, and report observations to appropriate personnel in accordance with site procedures. Assist with access control, directions, escorts, and other security‑related services that support a welcoming educational environment. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 6 months of security‑related experience. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
