Psychiatrist

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Adult Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric services in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. The Psychiatrist will evaluate patients' psychiatric and medical needs, establish appropriate diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team.

Schedule & Hours

• Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
• Four 10-hour shifts may be available as an alternative scheduling option , based on program and patient-care needs.
• Schedule options will be discussed during the interview process.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat patients with a range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up as clinically appropriate.
• Collaborate with nursing, medical, social work, and other members of the treatment team.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Provide care in accordance with professional standards, organizational policies, and applicable regulations.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or an equivalent accrediting body.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
• Current, unrestricted medical license in the applicable state.
• Active DEA registration and DPS registration, as applicable.
• Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Additional Requirements

Employment may require maintenance of the following, as applicable to the position and facility:

• Current CPR certification.
• Required TB screening, including questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray.
• Current health certificate in accordance with contractual or state requirements.
• Compliance with all applicable professional, clinical, and regulatory standards.

The Psychiatrist is expected to provide compassionate, ethical, evidence-based care while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
