Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a night shift travel position requiring Bipap and basic floor therapy skills at a large acute care hospital.

Job Details

• Work in the Respiratory Therapy department of a 500+ bed acute care hospital,
• Unit staffed with approximately 5 therapists on night shift, including a charge person,
• Equipment used includes EPOC Blood Gases, PB 840, Newport, ReVel, LTV, and V60 ventilators,
• Meditech EMR used,
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM,
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with rotating weekends,
• May float to CICU, SICU, MICU, and step-down units,

Job Requirements

• Active RRT license required if applicable,
• BLS certification required,
• ACLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of experience,
• Minimum 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the specialty,
• Skilled in basic floor therapies including nebulizer treatments, CPT, nocturnal pulse oximetry, and ABG collection,
• Bipap management experience required,
• Vent and Bipap management experience preferred,
• ICU experience preferred,
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months,
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Perform respiratory therapies including HHN, CPT, Bipap and vent management, and extubation,
• Royal blue scrub attire required,
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position,
