Role Description The Litigation Paralegal will support attorneys in all phases of civil defense litigation in an on‑site, full‑time role based in Merritt Island, FL. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include preparing, organizing, and maintaining legal documents and case files, as well as scheduling and coordinating with experts and others. The role involves managing discovery, and helping to coordinate all kinds of communications and evidence, closely tracking deadlines and court dates. The Litigation Paralegal will collaborate closely with attorneys and staff to ensure efficient case progression and adherence to court rules and firm procedures. Qualifications Strong skills in legal document preparation and document review, including organizing case files and managing discovery materials. Familiarity with filing procedures in Florida state and federal courts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and strong grammar and proofreading abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast‑paced litigation environment. Proficiency with legal case management software, e‑filing systems, and standard office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PDF tools). Prior experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant is an advantage, preferably in civil defense; Florida litigation experience is highly beneficial.
