Job Details

Our client is looking to identify an tenured litigation attorney in the Columbus area with a strong background in insurance-related legal matters, particularly personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, insurance coverage, and bad faith.

This is an opportunity for a seasoned attorney who is comfortable managing cases independently, exercising sound legal judgment, and helping drive efficient case resolution. Firm leadership is looking to transition a substantial volume of less complex cases to the right attorney, creating an opportunity to take ownership of an established caseload while allowing firm leadership to focus on more complex matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury, MVAs, insurance coverage, bad faith, general casualty, appeals, and more
• Evaluate claims, liability, damages, medical records, and supporting documentation.
• Oversee case strategy, negotiations, settlement discussions, and resolution of less complex matters.
• Manage case deadlines, client communications, and day-to-day case progression.
• Work collaboratively with firm leadership and colleagues to ensure efficient, high-quality legal representation.
• Exercise independent judgment in evaluating matters and determining appropriate next steps.

Qualifications:

• JD and Licensed to practice in Ohio
• 10+ years of litigation experience involving personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, insurance coverage, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload and move cases toward resolution.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Sound judgment and the ability to efficiently evaluate and prioritize matters.
