Overview


Hours: 3pm - 11:30pm with variable days including rotating weekends

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Sterile processing Tech, in conjunction with the Operating Room Instrument Tech, is responsible for the inspection, preparation, and sterilization of instruments and instrument sets used in the Main Operating Room. Performs loading and unloading of sterilizers. This position does not manage or maintain crash carts or emergency carts.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

1+ years surgical instrument preparation experience preferred.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Complete an approved Sterile Processing (SP) program.

• Current Central Service Technician Certification. CRCST or CBSPD.

• Complete one year of hospital experience as a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) or 400 hours Sterile Processing clinical rotation.

Pay Scale Information


USD $27.20 - USD $27.20
