Tittle - Bilingual Patient Registrar
\nLocation: Brooklyn, NY 11215
\nPay: $20 to $23/hr on W2
\nShift: 9 to 5 pm, Monday to Friday
\nContract: 13 weeks with possible extensions
\nRequired Qualifications
\nPatient Registrar (Mandarin/Cantonese/Spanish Preferred)
\n- \n
- High School Diploma/GED \n
- 1+ year of clerical experience \n
- Customer service experience \n
- Strong data entry/keyboard skills – 4,500 KPH \n
- Strong telephone and computer skills \n
- Knowledge of health insurance benefits and eligibility \n
- Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding \n
- Excellent communication and attention to detail \n
Key Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Register and greet patients professionally. \n
- Enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information. \n
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. \n
- Schedule appointments and medical procedures. \n
- Process authorizations and physician requisitions. \n
- Collect co-pays and maintain accurate financial records. \n
- Coordinate medical records and required documentation. \n
