Job Summary Foundation Health Partners (FHP) is looking for a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join their team! This position independently provides respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to patients in a variety of health care settings. Responsibilities Perform all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners. Apply and manage mechanical ventilators in collaboration with physicians and/or licensed independent practitioners, recommending adjustments to improve clinical condition, patient comfort, and to expedite the weaning process. Assemble, disassemble, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, clean, and perform adjustments in durable medical equipment and circuitry used in the delivery of respiratory care as prescribed. Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing as prescribed. Perform patient assessments and evaluate patient response to care, making recommendations to physicians regarding care plans, appropriate use of respiratory therapy, and modification of therapy as clinical conditions change. Document therapy accurately and completely. Communicate and collaborate with resource staff in formulating care plans, recommending changes in therapy, and identifying and resolving problems, especially when confronting unfamiliar situations, procedures, and techniques. Monitor daily workflow of departmental processes, work assigned shifts in areas of oversight, maintain required skills, and act as a subject‑matter expert and resource for departmental staff. Perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and applicable professional standards. Provide all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating core and leadership behaviors each day. Qualifications Associate or technical degree in respiratory therapy or related field. Proof of having passed the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist. Current license in the state of practice as required by state law. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. In Home Care setting, must possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy. Knowledgeable of clinical techniques, applications, and equipment typically obtained through 1 year of clinical experience. Highly effective human‑relation skills necessary to interface with patients, families, staff, and other healthcare personnel. Foundation Registry and Travel positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute‑care hospital setting, including work in an acute‑care setting within the past 12 months as an RRT in the specialty area. Preferred Qualifications Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
