As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Reception in North Charleston, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.75 / Hour

DayTime Fri 07:30 AM - 04:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Monitor lobby and reception area activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or credentials, and help direct patients, staff, and guests according to site-specific access procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Answer phones, manage visitor logs, receive deliveries, and support front desk operations in alignment with location protocols and Allied Universal standards.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing entrances, monitoring front desk activity, and reporting unusual behavior, hazards, and/or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
