Lead Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist

Job Title
Major duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performs technical work in support of diagnostic radiology under the direction of a physician. This includes operating radiology equipment, both mobile and fixed, and assisting the radiologist in fluoroscopic procedures as part of the diagnostic plan for patients.
- Works closely with outside teaching facilities, that the VA has affiliation agreements with, in the training of DRT students. This includes coordinating daily assignments, answering questions, critiquing images, and evaluating student performance.
- Supports radiologist or other medical officers to produce radiographic studies used to diagnose medical conditions.
- DRTs at this level may have varying assignments including special and complex radiographic procedures.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Work Schedule subject to change based on agency needs.
