As an Assistant Grocery Department Manager, you will help oversee all daily operations of the Grocery Department, drive sales and profitability, and ensure strong in?stock conditions, accurate pricing, and high merchandising standards. Main responsibilities:

• Help oversee daily operations of the Grocery Department with a focus on customer service, sales, and department readiness
• Deliver friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally
• Ensure shelves, displays, and aisles are clean, full, front?faced, and merchandised to company standards
• Assist with executing planograms, promotional sets, seasonal transitions, and weekly ad merchandising
• Assist with managing orders, inventory levels, product rotation, and backroom organization
• Assist with monitoring shrink and implementing procedures to reduce waste and loss
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, safety, and operational standards
• Assist with training, coaching, scheduling, and developing grocery associates while fostering a positive team environment
• Perform Grocery Department duties as needed and assume responsibility for department operations in the absence of the Grocery Manager

• Grocery product flow, rotation, and inventory control
• Retail merchandising and promotional execution
• Store systems and ordering tools

Abilities:

• Ability to analyze sales, labor, and inventory data to drive results
• Ability to train, coach, and develop associates
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry products and work in coolers and freezers
