Senior Planning / Scheduling Engineer

Our client, a leader in the industrial sector specializing in large-scale EPC projects, is seeking a Senior Planning / Scheduling Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Planning / Scheduling Engineer, you will be part of the project controls department supporting project management and execution teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Planning / Scheduling Engineer Location: Houston, TX or Baton Rouge, LA Pay Range: $79 What's the Job? Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules to support EPC project execution. Collaborate with project teams to create detailed work plans for engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. Monitor project progress against established timelines and milestones, identifying schedule variances and risks. Analyze impacts of scope changes and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track. Prepare schedule reports and presentations to communicate project status and performance to stakeholders. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. Extensive experience working as a planning/scheduling engineer or project controls specialist in large, mega EPC projects within the oil and gas, petrochemicals, or industrial gases industries. Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software. Proven expertise in project management principles, including schedule development, resource management, earned value management, and risk analysis. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment. What's in it for me?
