CNC Machinist III

CNC Machinist III Baldwin Park, CA Machinist III is responsible for performing detailed and complex setups in machines with major emphasis in accuracy, consistency and quality. Essential functions of the job include: Performing complex setups and operating a variety of machines, tools and other equipment to produce parts per instructions, blueprints or other technical drawings. Properly maintaining and performing minor routine maintenance to machines utilized. Evaluating parts or material by measuring with appropriate instruments and may perform simple testing to validate parts or material conforms to requirements. Documenting information as required per the work instruction or as instructed and reporting any discrepancies to the supervisor, lead, and/or engineer. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety procedures and protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Supporting area organization and fostering a continuous improvement mindset. Adhering to the company's policies and promoting a healthy and positive work culture. Education: High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Experience: 8+ years of recent working experience in CNC Lathe. Completion of a 2 year technical/trade school in machining (preferred). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to interpret blueprints and have a good understanding of GD&T. A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, strong multitasking ability, and an interest in learning new skills/technologies required. MUST be well organized, works well with others and flexible. Broad skill set who is not afraid to tackle multiple tasks. Knowledge of tooling speeds and feeds offsets and minor program changes. Ability to prove out programs. Setup, program, and operate two CNC Lathes (Okuma). Perform tool adjustment as required. Work with Engineering to make tooling. Able to use inspections tool to inspect parts. Must read, write and speak English. This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], U.S. National, Refugee, or Asylee.
