About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 AM - 07:00 PM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, NIH Certification required Must-Have: - Critical thinking skills - Decisive judgment - Ability to work with minimal supervision - Ability to work in a stressful environment Description: Provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols. Implements and monitors patient care plans. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care. Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders. Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team. The role requires the ability to work in a team atmosphere. The facility cares for all cardiac needs, including post-operative care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6. Support is provided by patient care technicians and a healthcare unit coordinator. Utilization of virtual sitter monitoring and telemetry monitoring technology is available. The job may require floating to other departments as needed. There is also a requirement to work on weekends and holidays if necessary.
