Leasing Manager Marymount University seeks a Housing & Community Manager to oversee and manage student housing and leasing administration for all residents at Placemakr Marymount Ballston, the University’s campus apartment community. Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, manage all administrative and billing functions, leasing activities, and maximize revenue while ensuring a positive experience for residents. Responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of the student housing selection and assignment process, including communication coordination. Lead and execute marketing and outreach campaigns to increase awareness of Marymount's housing options through social media, campus events, and partnerships. Utilize multiple systems to ensure accuracy of housing assignments for student residents and prepare comprehensive monthly reporting for senior leadership. Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in housing operations. Conduct regular market analyses to identify emerging trends, competitor strategies, and potential opportunities for growth; present findings to senior leadership. Ensure timely and accurate processing of student billing, payments, and rent collection for Marymount units. Partner with Student Financial Services to ensure accuracy of billing through monthly reconciliations and ad‑hoc research and adjustments. Maintain a thorough understanding of payment options, procedures, and systems to provide financial guidance to students. Respond to student inquiries regarding financial matters promptly and effectively. Oversee and manage expenses related to student housing operations. Manage compliance with Arlington County regulations for affordable housing units, including processing applications and verifying income. Coordinate reassignments, maintenance billings, and other billable administrative operations with the property management team. Establish and maintain relationships with local community partners to support marketing efforts. Meet weekly with the Director of Finance and Operations to review administrative initiatives and delinquencies. Coordinate check‑in and check‑out procedures, process room change requests, and update the student housing database. Perform sales and leasing activities: greet and qualify prospects, conduct community tours, show apartments, and process applications. Manage the Marymount/Placemakr relationship and provide updates to senior leadership as needed. Maintain accurate weekly and monthly reporting schedules. Attend occasional evening and weekend hours as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years of university housing experience and/or relevant professional experience. Strong proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel). Preferred Qualifications Leasing management experience. Experience with Yardi, eRez, or StarRez. Previous experience in student accounts management. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organization/project management skills. Ability to work positively with diverse backgrounds and cultures. Results‑oriented with a strong sense of initiative. Reliability and willingness to work weekends or varying hours. Effective leadership and team management abilities. Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders. Licenses or Certifications None.
