Service Writer

Acura of Bedford Hills is looking for an experienced Service Writer to join our busy service department. This is a great opportunity for a customer-focused automotive professional who understands service operations, communicates clearly, and can help create a smooth experience from write-up to vehicle delivery.

We are looking for someone who can build trust with customers, work closely with technicians, and keep the service lane moving efficiently in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and write up service repair orders
• Listen to customer concerns and clearly document vehicle issues
• Recommend maintenance and repair services based on customer needs and technician findings
• Communicate repair updates, timelines, and estimates to customers
• Review completed work and explain services performed
• Coordinate with technicians, parts department, and service management
• Maintain accurate repair order notes and customer records
• Help ensure a positive customer experience from drop-off to pick-up
• Follow dealership processes and manufacturer guidelines

Qualifications

• Previous automotive service advisor or service writer experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership service environment
• Organized, professional, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable reviewing repair recommendations and estimates with customers
• Basic computer skills required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Acura or Honda experience is a plus, but not required
