We are looking for a full‑time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support a busy orthopedic practice. Candidate must be flexible to travel to Chicago and Western Suburbs for clinic. New grads or experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Close collaboration with existing team. Assist the physician in clinic setting. Assess patient health status including state of wellness and compliance with care plan, and determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Utilize practice technology including, but not limited to, electronic health record, dictation, and outcomes tools to their full capability to ensure excellent patient care. Responsible for providing medical care as delegated by physician. Educate patients and families as appropriate and provide continuity of care. Examine patient, perform comprehensive physical examination, and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x‑ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviations from normal. Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and manage infection. Develop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care. Travel with Physician as required. Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance. Requirements Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of Illinois (or ability to obtain). National certification: AANP, ANCC, ONCB or NCCPA. BLS certification required. Orthopedic experience preferred. Strong clinical decision‑making and procedural skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job‑related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity.
