Chief Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the day-to-day operations of our facility maintenance team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the functionality, safety, and efficiency of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and more. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. As a key contributor to our operations team, the Chief Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining brand standards and regulatory compliance while driving high-quality performance across all maintenance functions. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary liaison with brand partners to ensure compliance with evolving brand standards. • Support budget planning by providing accurate cost estimates for repairs and capital improvement initiatives. • Evaluate building systems to determine necessary maintenance, repairs, or upgrades. • Hire, train, schedule, and manage the performance of maintenance staff. • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures. Qualifications: • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a customer-focused approach. • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities. • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff development, evaluations, and scheduling. • At least 5 years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance, including team leadership. • High school diploma or equivalent required. Compensation: $17 - $19 hourly
