School Certified Licensed Social Worker 1.0 Probationary - Stevens Elementary The Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central District is seeking interested applicants for the Licensed Clinical School Social Worker position to serve the Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake School District. The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, and teachers to maintain a positive school culture, and support and nurture a sense of community. The School Social Worker counsels students towards managing all non-instructional factors that influence student success – social, emotional, and behavioral services as needed. Responsibilities would include but are not limited to: Ensuring the safety of students at all times Providing individual and group counseling to students at-risk as well as students with disabilities Participating in evaluating students for the need for special education services Creating behavior intervention plans Providing case management services, such as managing contact and coordination with CPS as needed, and providing referrals to community resources Providing training and workshops to teachers, school staff, and families Partnering with families to address issues such as trauma, chronic absenteeism, temporary housing, and crisis management Participation in the RTI process Working closely with the Pupil Assistance Team Administering and sharing results from informal assessments Keeping accurate & organized records of student progress monitoring and session notes Assisting with non-instructional supervision of students as needed The successful candidate must have a valid NYS School Social Worker Certification(s) for the applicable position and must upload a letter of interest, resume, letters of reference, and copy of certification(s).
