By working per diem, you decide when you work—choose from available shifts covering contractor call-outs at 33 different schools, most often elementary, and become an integral resource in special education settings.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working in schools, ideally with students with behavioral needs
• Knowledge of and ability to follow Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
• Flexibility and reliability to respond to daily per diem assignments
• Capability to work in both 1:1 and classroom aide settings
• Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care if necessary
• Active substitute or paraprofessional certification on DESE (can be in process, but must be active before starting)
• Willingness to complete district-specific fingerprinting prior to the first shift

What your day may include:

• Providing individualized or group support in special education classrooms
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson facilitation
• Promoting a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for students
• Responding calmly and effectively to behavioral needs
• Rotating between different schools and grade levels, depending on district needs
