Operating Room Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a 5x8 hour work schedule.

Job Description

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing safe, age-appropriate patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will function as an advisor and resource for patients and their families, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional clinical care. The position requires proficiency in various surgical services, including trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care in the operating room.
• Assist in various surgical procedures and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Act as an educational resource for patients and families regarding procedures and recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate safe surgical practices.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and advanced technology during surgeries.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical setting.
• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at the time of submission.
• Certain certifications are required, including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and completion of a 16-hour Maryland approved trauma course.
