Job Title: Final Assembly Technician

Job Description

The Final Assembly Technician completes the last stage of the manufacturing process by assembling structural and drive components according to detailed prints and customer specifications. This role ensures that final dimensions meet all required standards, supports quality control during final inspections, and participates in run testing to verify proper operation of the finished product.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final assembly of structural components and drive components, including motors and propellers, in accordance with engineering prints and customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret instructions, diagrams, and blueprints to correctly set bundles, fans, motors, and drive components.
  • Verify that all final dimensions and assemblies meet required specifications and customer prints before release.
  • Support quality control activities by assisting with final inspections and participating in run testing of completed units.
  • Use impact wrenches, hand drills, Allen drills, band cutters, and other hand and power tools safely and effectively during assembly.
  • Apply proper techniques for selecting and using hardware fasteners to ensure secure and accurate assemblies.
  • Operate an overhead crane safely (training provided) to move and position materials and assemblies as needed.
  • Maintain a high regard for safety standards and procedures, following all shop guidelines and best practices.
  • Keep the work area organized and clean to support efficient assembly and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with team members and quality personnel to resolve assembly issues and ensure timely completion of work.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Knowledge in the heat exchanger industry combined with assembly experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and written instructions accurately.
  • Proficiency using impact wrenches, hand drills, Allen drills, band cutters, and general hand tools.
  • Understanding of proper use and application of hardware fasteners in structural and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with hand and power tools in an industrial or fabrication setting.
  • Ability to support quality control processes, including final inspections and run testing.
  • Capability to learn and safely operate an overhead crane (training provided).
  • Strong commitment to following safety standards, procedures, and shop rules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with heat exchangers or similar industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with electrical wiring in an assembly environment.
  • Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled fabrication shop.
  • Attention to detail when checking dimensions and verifying specifications.
  • Ability to work effectively on a day shift schedule, including occasional half-day Saturdays.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, equipment, and processes as operations evolve.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a shop environment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate-controlled fabrication shop where you will work with industrial equipment and a variety of hand and power tools, including impact wrenches, hand drills, Allen drills, band cutters, and general hand tools. The position operates primarily on day shift with additional opportunities for half-day Saturdays, providing significant overtime potential. You will work around overhead cranes and large assemblies in a production-focused setting that emphasizes safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wagoner, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
