Physical Therapist - Acute Care

Location: Chewelah, WA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 3x8 hours (08:00 - 16:00). Flexibility for Tuesday-Friday or Monday-Thursday.

Job Description: The Physical Therapist will provide inpatient therapy services based on the needs of the facility. The role primarily focuses on acute care therapy, adapting interventions to meet the unique needs of patients in a critical access hospital environment. The Physical Therapist may be required to float to other facilities as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform evaluations, treatment planning, and interventions for patients in an inpatient setting.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including adaptive devices and mobility training.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and home exercise programs.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have a valid Washington State Physical Therapy License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, specifically Epic, is preferred.
