PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30). Open to 4x12s.

We are seeking a skilled PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiac telemetry and be proficient in various advanced nursing procedures. This role involves managing a patient ratio of 6, providing care to adults and geriatric patients, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients in the PCU/Telemetry department.
• Monitor and interpret patient telemetry results.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as per protocols.
• Manage complex patient situations including those requiring cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, and evaluate care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 1 year of recent hospital nursing experience, preferably in a PCU or telemetry unit.
• Active RN license (PA or Compact) is required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are necessary.
• Experience with Community Hospital charting system is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
