Job Title: Charge ER Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3 years preferred License: Current Nursing License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Previous Charge Experience: Required Charting System Experience: Required Charting System Name: Epic Community Hospital Experience: Preferred Description: Charge Nurse for the Emergency Room during night shifts. Additional pay for all hours worked in a charge role. Three years of experience preferred but first-time travelers are accepted. Travel nurses will be scheduled for every other weekend. Must hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. The nurse will manage patient care in a busy emergency department setting. Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 is preferred. Interdisciplinary support is available in the unit. Patients of all age groups will be cared for, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. A diverse range of patient diagnoses and special procedures will be encountered. Floating to similar units may be required based on facility needs. The hospital typically sees 45 visits per day, with a daily census of 45. The unit is equipped with 10 beds and 3 rooms for patient care. Travel nurses are required to complete a brief orientation upon arrival. Modules related to job duties will be carried out onsite during the initial period. All candidates must meet compliance requirements before starting. The position may involve various emergency situations and require proficient clinical skills.
