OR Registered Nurse – Operating RoomSchedule5x8 DaysAssignment DetailsGuaranteed hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks (may be called off for one 8-hr shift per 2 weeks); Orientation: 40 hoursRequirementsMinimum 1 year RN experienceFirst-time travelers acceptedReferences: 2 references covering 1 year (within last 3 years)Required certifications: ACLS, BLSClinical skills: Perioperative skills including general OR procedures, laparoscopic and open abdominal cases, orthopedics/spine, thoracic, urology, blood product administration, wound management, sterile technique, universal protocol (time-out), pre-op/PACUCharting/EHR: EpicResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care in the operating room environmentAssist with surgical procedures and maintain sterile conditionsMonitor patient status and respond to changing conditionsCollaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safetyAdminister medication and blood products as necessaryPromote infection control protocolsCompliance / NotesOn-call required during weekends; must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays; parking details will be provided; no floating within the facility scope but may be expected to float to nearby sister facilities; must submit permanent address showing at least 50 miles distance from the facility.
