ADAP Program Specialist - Anchorage

About the Role The ADAP Program Specialist will work directly with clients enrolled in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), which assists people living with HIV around the state of Alaska with the cost of their HIV medication. Responsibilities include providing intensive case management to up to 20 clients, administering program support, and assisting with insurance enrollment, including completing the CMS Certified Application Counselor training. This position operates within trauma-informed harm reduction and other modalities to proactively support the goals and quality of life of people living with HIV (PLWH) and their families. Key Responsibilities Provide intensive case management to up to 20 ADAP clients. Administer and support program operations and administrative duties. Assist with insurance enrollment and completion of CMS Certified Application Counselor training. Work within trauma-informed harm reduction frameworks to support clients’ goals and quality of life. Key Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong judgment, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to address complex needs and issues experienced by PLWH. Thorough understanding of HIV treatment and prevention, trauma‑informed care, harm reduction, and community resources (including housing, benefits & entitlements, and behavioral health).
