Administrative Assistant to the Director of Multi-Language Program, Part-Time, Student Employee

Responsibilities Perform functions that have broad organizational implications. Coordinate with others both within and outside the organization. Keep up with the fast pace of a professional environment and frequently changing schedules. Manage competing demands and priorities associated with this position. Represent the organization in a manner that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Defining Characteristics. Complete special projects including attending Multi-Language Program subcommittee meetings, gathering information for presentations, relaying assignments, and editing and drafting reports. Draft high-profile, professional correspondence and communications. Perform routine office duties such as typing, filing, ordering supplies, entering data, drafting correspondence, running errands, making travel arrangements, and scheduling rooms and appointments. Manage the Director of Multi-Language Program’s calendar and schedule meetings. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes. Manage student workers’ schedules and provide training as needed. Assist the Director of Multi-Language Program with travel coordination and expense reconciliation. Requirements Individuals must be enrolled as degree/certificate-seeking matriculated students at BYU-Idaho, Ensign College, or BYU-Pathway Worldwide, or be taking PathwayConnect for the first time. Determine priorities, follow protocol, and make professional decisions. Receive constructive feedback. Demonstrate sound discretion and mature judgment. Exercise complete discretion and maintain confidentiality. Work well with others. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and organization. Research and provide data analysis. Mentor and supervise student workers. Excellent organizational, writing, grammar, and editing skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint). High level of proficiency, both spoken and written, in Spanish and English across academic, professional, and other communication settings. Proficiency in Portuguese is preferred.
