About the Role

A Place Called Home LLC is seeking an organized, dependable Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinator to help recruit caregivers and prepare new hires for their assignments as we grow our home care services.

This part-time position reports directly to the Owner/Administrator and focuses on recruiting and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Post and update caregiver openings on Indeed, CareerPlug, and other recruiting platforms.
• Review applications and conduct initial phone screenings.
• Assess candidate qualifications, availability, and service-area fit.
• Schedule interviews and follow up promptly with applicants.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and build a qualified applicant pipeline.
• Coordinate reference checks and required background screening through approved processes.
• Prepare offer paperwork for the Owner/Administrator ’s approval.
• Collect hiring documents and coordinate orientation and required training.
• Track onboarding completion and flag outstanding requirements.
• Confirm readiness with the Owner/Administrator before a new hire begins an assignment.
• Maintain confidential recruiting and onboarding records.
• Provide weekly updates on recruiting progress and staffing needs.

Final hiring decisions remain with the Owner/Administrator.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruiting, onboarding, hiring coordination, or related administrative work.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple applicants and deadlines independently.
• Comfort using email, spreadsheets, online job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

Preferred: Experience recruiting caregivers or direct support staff, and familiarity with CareerPlug, Indeed, or Minnesota home care and 245D settings.
