As an integral part of the team, the nursing technician is responsible for activities, which promote patient focused care within the patient unit.Essential FunctionsThe nursing technician provides safe direct patient care under the guidance of the professional registered nurse.The nursing technician provides indirect patient care under the direction of the registered professional nurse and according to the goals and medical care plan of the patient.The nursing technician demonstrates expected conduct, behavior and accountability.The nursing assistant supports the vision, mission, and values of the organization.Maintains responsibility and accountability for own practice.QualificationsHigh School RequiredCustomer Service; Identification of clinical alarms; Use of patient care equipment; body mechanics; isolation precautions; safety precautions; aspiration precautions; communication with the use of AIDET; phlebotomy skills; EKG recording; blood pressure reading; unit based specialty skills need to perform job function efficiently.Completion of a technician program or hospital program RequiredMontefiore New Rochelle Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
