Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring functional treatment programs support effective return to community activities
Serve as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill all state-mandated continuing education requirements
Actively pursue professional development through continuing education, self-study, and involvement in professional organizations; apply learned information to meet organizational objectives
Required Qualifications

Active Physical Therapist license in good standing

(or eligibility to obtain licensure in Alaska)
Experience in general orthopedics with specialty skills
Ability to ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
Commitment to patient and employee safety standards, including safe patient handling and infection control practices
Strong documentation skills with knowledge of compliance requirements under state, federal, and intermediary guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience in an outpatient orthopedic or specialty therapy setting
Familiarity with performance improvement methodologies and quality initiatives
Prior experience supervising or mentoring PT students in a clinical setting
