About the Role

Green Lake Nursery is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Delivery Driver / Maintenance Technician to handle the safe delivery of live plants to clients and keep ranch facilities operating smoothly. During peak seasons, your core focus is safe driving, prompt routing, and great customer interactions. During off-peak windows, you will transition into general ranch upkeep, equipment staging, and special facility projects.

No CDL is required for this role.

What You Will Do

• Vehicle Operation & Delivery: Safely operate a 26-foot box truck equipped with lift gates to transport live plants and delivery racks to client destinations.

• Routing & Navigation: Use delivery apps and electronic devices to manage routes, log stops, adjust for customer notes, and maintain timely delivery schedules.

• Compliance & Care: Follow all local traffic laws and safety procedures. Conduct routine pre-trip inspections and keep the vehicle clean and properly maintained.

• Documentation: Process logs, digital sign-offs, manifests, returns, and customer notes accurately.

• Ranch Maintenance & Off-Season Projects: When delivery volume slows, perform hands-on ranch maintenance, grounds upkeep, equipment staging, and assigned facility improvement tasks.

• Customer Care: Act as the primary face of GLN LP during deliveries, providing prompt, courteous service to ensure long-term client relationships.

Schedule & Hours

• Spring & Fall Peak Seasons: 45 to 65 hours per week across 6 days (including Saturdays).

• Standard / Off-Peak Seasons: ~45 hours per week, focused on deliveries, scheduled maintenance, and ranch projects.

What We Are Looking For

• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record ( Required ).

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (or 1–3 months of related work experience).

• Reliable personal transportation to and from the ranch.

• Strong communication, route-reading, and practical problem-solving skills.

• Familiarity with hand tools (preferred).

• Experience operating tractors, skid steers, or light farm machinery (a strong plus).

Physical Demands & Work Conditions

• Regular lifting, moving, and staging of cargo weighing between 40 and 100 lbs .

• Frequent bending, stooping, climbing, balancing, and prolonged standing or sitting.

• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions (rain, heat, cold, ice, and wind).

• Work around moving mechanical parts, box truck lift gates, and plant nursery environments.
