About the Position

Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:00 AM - 06:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: ACLS Required, BLS, NIH Certification, CPI/MOAB Must-Have: EPIC EMR Experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months Ability to float to different campuses as needed Pass a Basic Dysrhythmia test during the first week of assignment Description: Provide nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate care in collaboration with other health team members. Effectively interact with patients, their significant others, and other health professionals while maintaining high standards of nursing practice. Deliver high-quality care to patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, and telemetry. Estimated workweek is 36 hours. Every other holiday rotation is required. Telemetry ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights. Floating may be required to accommodate staffing needs, including emergency departments if necessary. Self-study of telemetry strips is required upon acceptance into the role. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment, and must be passed to work on the telemetry/med/surg unit. Candidates must have the ability to respond and report on-site within one hour when called during low census periods.
