- Serving as the primary point of contact for DCFS and referring bodies regarding admission to the programs operating within the Caritas Youth Residential Center.
- Reviewing all provided information for referrals, acting upon independent judgement to determine what additional information is needed in order to complete case analysis for admissions teams.
- Providing detailed case analysis of referrals to residential programs to Assistant Director of Clinical Operations, Milieu Operations Manager, and Director of Youth Residential Center.
- Participating in all pre-placement interviews with admissions teams to seek and obtain any clarifying information needed for the admissions teams to provide a dispensation.
- Conducting official admission into residential programs, in conjunction with associated Managers.
- Maintaining current waiting list for all residential programs.
- Creating and distributing weekly bed reports for residential program.
- Ensuring the receipt of all required documents and consents for all youth being admitted into residential treatment programs, prior to the youths' admission.
- Updating and maintaining database software to ensure accuracy in reporting.

- Medicaid and placement requirements
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience working within behavioral health, mental health, child welfare, healthcare, or a related field
- Experience with residential treatment admissions, intake coordination, behavioral health services, or child welfare programs
- Medicaid/CFR Designation: RSA/Other Program Staff

The Residential Admissions Coordinator has the primary responsibility of coordinating admissions of youth into the programs operating in the Youth Residential Center. This includes receiving, reviewing, tracking, providing final dispensations, and completing the admissions process for all referred youth.

The individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, ensure documentation accuracy, and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or experience required/preferred:
Degree/Field Required: High School Diploma or GED
Degree/Field Preferred: Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field

Basic: Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, attention to detail, documentation accuracy, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Social: Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with referral sources, DCFS staff, agency leadership, treatment team members, youth, families, and community partners. Demonstrates professionalism, customer service, diplomacy, and effective interpersonal communication skills.
Problem Solving/Decision-Making: Ability to review referral information, identify missing documentation, analyze case information, prioritize admissions needs, and exercise sound judgment when making recommendations regarding admissions readiness and program fit.
Proficient Computer Skills In: Outlook, Word, database management software, electronic records systems, spreadsheets, and reporting platforms.
Technical: Ability to maintain databases, generate reports, review and organize referral documentation, coordinate admissions activities, and ensure compliance with agency, licensing, and program requirements.
Trauma-Informed: Must display a willingness to adopt trauma-informed interventions, principles, and practices and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development in trauma-informed care. Recognizes the impact of trauma on youth, families, staff, and communities and applies trauma-informed principles during interactions, admissions processes, and service coordination.
