This key role involves actively assisting the doctor with a wide range of procedures, managing clinical duties, and ensuring an exceptional, welcoming patient experience. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player eager to grow with our expanding practice. Smile by Design is a small, rapidly growing, and heart-centered dental practice located in Prescott, AZ. Our team is tight-knit, led by one dedicated doctor and supported by two hygienists (three days a week) and one front desk coordinator. We pride ourselves on a laid-back, supportive environment where we deliver personalized care to a growing patient base. Pay $16~$24 per hour Salary Details - Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Employment Type Full-time Requirements Infection Control License X-ray / Radiography Certification Minimum of one (1) year of prior Dental Assisting experience in a clinical setting. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging patient interaction. Proficiency in dental terminology and basic clinical procedures. Knowledge and implementation of HIPAA and OSHA safety standards (including sterilization and infection control). Comfortable operating medical imaging equipment (x-ray machine). Note: X-ray certification is required (or ability to obtain promptly upon hire). Job Description Assist the Dentist during various examinations and procedures (including crowns, fillings, cleanings, and x-rays) using two- and four-handed dentistry techniques. Perform essential chairside duties, including the fabrication of temporary crowns and taking impressions. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, managing tray setups, room turnover, and ensuring all units are functional. Execute strict sterilization and disinfection procedures in compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols. Manage patient records and documentation, ensuring HIPAA compliance and accuracy in charting and medical documentation. Actively support smooth patient flow, from welcoming and seating patients to providing post-treatment care instructions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and follow-up care. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure all equipment is properly maintained. Benefits 401(k) with matching, Employee discount.
