Plumber

Essential Functions: Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment. Evaluate, troubleshoot and repair pumps and pumping systems. Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as water heaters, or fixtures such as sinks or toilets, using hand or power tools. Measure, cut, thread, or bend pipe to required angle, using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, or pipe-bending machines. Review blueprints, building codes, plumbing codes, fire codes, or specifications to determine work details or procedures. Estimate time, material, or labor costs for use in project plans. Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing. Document work using CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System. Uses the corresponding safety equipment and complies with the established regulations. Use BMS Building Management System to monitor and control pumping systems and water levels. Use special tools and equipment including CCTV cameras to inspect pipes. Escort visitors, contractors and suppliers. Prepares and submits reports to his/her immediate supervisor. Execute any other duties assigned by the Supervisor. Education: Plumbing Certificate from a recognized Technical Institute or College. Technical training, license, certifications and/or other requirements: Plumbing License from the State Department and Professional Membership.
