This opportunity is based on a Machine Operator career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.Job DutiesOperate CNC machines (primarily 2-axis laser machining centers) under supervisionLoad and unload small, fragile ceramic and metal partsProve tapes, operate machine controls, set offsets, and perform simple program edits as neededDeburr and inspect parts for accuracy and quality standardsInterpret drawings, manuals, samples, and specifications to determine dimensions and machining requirementsMeasure and mark materials using precision tools for reference points and accuracyDetect out-of-tolerance machining, adjust equipment within capability, and report issues to supervisorsCommunicate with supervisors, engineers, production control, and quality teams to resolve machining questionsMaintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic preventative maintenanceAdapt to shifting priorities and occasional training on 1st shift if neededPerform additional duties as assignedRequirementsExperience operating CNC equipment such as milling machines or lathes (including setup, offsets, and basic edits preferred)Ability to transfer CNC milling skills to laser machining operationsStrong manual dexterity and the ability to handle small, delicate partsKnowledge of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators, depth gauges, scales)Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications with solid shop math understandingFamiliarity with cutting tools, tooling accessories, fixtures, and holdersAbility to follow written and verbal instructions in EnglishComfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven production environmentReliable and prompt attendanceWillingness to train on 1st shift when requiredBenefitsCompetitive Weekly PayComprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
