Merck's Research Laboratories Division seeks a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to advance biologics formulation and drug delivery technologies. Responsibilities
- Plan and execute independent research in biologics formulation and drug delivery
- Develop and optimize experimental strategies to evaluate formulation behavior and stability
- Design and interpret studies on protein crystallization, suspension properties, and physicochemical characterization
- Apply experimental, analytical, and modeling approaches to understand formulation-performance relationships
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
- Expertise in protein science, sample handling, and analytical characterization
- Strong record of peer-reviewed publications and/or conference presentations
- Ability to design, execute, and communicate independent research
- Strong problem-solving skills and multidisciplinary collaboration experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $82,000–$92,000 base
